As the year draws to a close, the internet enters its annual obsession with numbers – wrap-ups, recaps, and stat sheets for everything from how many books someone read to how many minutes they spent listening to their favourite podcast.
With everyone sharing their freshly released streaming stats, we figured it was the perfect moment to look at our own year in numbers.
Even though we only launched this site back in September, we’ve gone ahead and unwrapped our very own 2025 stats – a small but exciting snapshot of our beginning.

Podcasts
We cranked out 8 podcasts and welcomed 5 amazing guests along the way. Among them were James expert and One of the Three founder Dave Brown, Andy Diagram, and then Andy Diagram again – this time with Spaceheads partner Richard Harrison and their creative collaborator, Rucksack Cinema.
Other podcasts explored a range of topics, including our introductions to and journey with James, the North American tour, how Laid has evolved in live performance decades after its release, and even an in-depth look at Johnny Marr, beginning with his history with the band.
If you fancy shooting your mouth off with us in the new year, or have an idea for a future episode, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact us at shootingourmouthsoff@gmail.com

Gigs
Whether reviewing or reporting from the road, we tracked 26 of the band’s gigs this year – 6 of them we were lucky enough to attend ourselves.
North America hosted 21 of the shows, while 5 happened in Latin America.

Reviews
Thanks to the Detroit show being a ticketed livestream, we were able to publish a full review – and later did the same for the Mexico City performance.
We also reviewed two shows we attended in person: the band’s set at the Ohana Festival in California and the final stop of their North American tour in Vancouver.
In keeping with our commitment to occasionally feature artists connected to James, we also reviewed the Berlin date of Johnny Marr’s European tour.
Vlogs
We fully embraced the influencer lifestyle during our time in Los Angeles, filming two fun vlogs – one at Disneyland Park and another at California Adventure.
We’ve since filmed two more vlogs back in the UK – a Nothing But Love – The Definitive Best Of unboxing video, and one when Tim, Saul, Jim, and Mark were signing copies of the album at Piccadilly Records in Manchester.
Blogs
In total, we’ve published 34 blogs. Aside from tour blogs, our keyboards were firing on all cylinders: six other blogs explored the singles from the compilation, the excitement of album launch events, tour stats, and even a full dive into Laid.
Thank you for all your support so far – it’s been an incredible start, and we can’t wait to keep the momentum going in 2026!
