Spaceheads + now

With nine talented members, it’s no surprise that several of the band have side projects – including Andy, who forms one half of the experimental duo Spaceheads. And while James may have no remaining full band shows this year, Spaceheads have one this weekend.

About Spaceheads

Together with drummer Richard Harrison, Andy brings Spaceheads’ signature sound to life – a dynamic fusion of electronic trumpet loops and driving, rhythmic drum beats.

Bringing a unique energy to their sets, Spaceheads share an almost telepathic connection built over more than 40 years of playing together, freely experimenting with song structures and timings to create performances that feel truly spontaneous and innovative.

Ahead of the gig, Spaceheads are set to release a new six-track EP, Spaceheads Go Wild, featuring the live favourite ‘The Rich Are a Luxury We Can’t Afford’ as the lead track. The release follows last year’s retrospective vinyl box set Time and Spaceheads – a three-disc silver vinyl collection celebrating highlights from the band’s 1990s albums.

About the show

On Saturday 22nd November 2025, Spaceheads will make their triumphant return to the legendary Carlton Club, where they last played alongside Dave’s band Blacakat last November.

The band will be accompanied by their longtime collaborator Rucksack Cinema, who elevates their performances with mesmerising multi-projection light shows crafted in real-time, using a blend of archival film footage and digital glitches.

Tickets are available on Skiddle.

Is there a support act?

Spaceheads will be supported by now, a band founded in 1998 by songwriter Justin Paton, whose love of electronics, machines, and synthesisers is matched by his passion for guitars, percussion, and acoustic instruments – all coming together in their distinctive brand of alternative pop.
