The band’s Detroit show brought them to the iconic Majestic Theatre, a venue steeped in over a century of history. First opened in 1915, the theatre was originally built as the world’s largest cinema designed specifically for motion pictures, boasting a capacity of 1,651 seats. Over the decades, it has transformed from a grand movie palace into a cornerstone of Detroit’s live music scene. Today, the Majestic serves as a dynamic multi-space venue, hosting a wide array of performances across its three stages.

The VIP soundcheck was noticeably busier than Cleveland’s, yet still retained an intimate feel – especially when compared to the larger-scale UK arena tour sound-checks. The band performed three tracks: ‘Attention’, ‘Shadow of a Giant’, and ‘Stay’. Interestingly, all three have been consistent staples in their set-lists throughout the summer and the current tour, prompting speculation that these were deliberate choices for a quick run-through ahead of the live stream.

In light of the live broadcast, we’ve opted for a new angle in today’s blog coverage. Rather than a standard event summary, we’ve put together a full review – available in the review section of the site, or embedded at the bottom of this page.
