Fittingly, the tour has brought the band back to the very venue where they first played Atlanta in 1992. One of the most distinctive and versatile live music venues in America, The Masquerade is home to four uniquely themed indoor stages: Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, and Altar. James launched their current tour in Heaven – the largest of the four, with a capacity of roughly 1,500.
Over the decades, The Masquerade has hosted an extraordinary lineup of legendary artists, including Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Fugazi. It has also been the birthplace of several iconic music festivals: the very first Warped Tour in 1992, followed by the inaugural One Music Fest, Shaky Knees Festival, Imagine Fest, and the first two editions of The Wrecking Ball ATL.

Setting Up

An exclusive sneak peek at what’s hitting the merch table this tour

During their downtime, some of the band took the chance to explore Atlanta’s sights and attractions. They visited the World of Coca-Cola, standing in the shadow of a giant bottle cap, and soaked up the atmosphere at the iconic Olympic Park. The evening ended on a high note – literally – as they rode the Ferris Wheel, watching the sublime Atlanta sunset paint the city skyline.
